"...the overwhelming response has been that it’s time to get on with making Liverpool Street station the best that it can be,” says Robin Dobson, Network Rail's group property director. Network Rail Property, the country’s biggest owner of brownfield land, is taking a more proactive and assertive role in regeneration. It used to be a net seller of land. Now, through partnerships and driving schemes forward under its own name, Network Rail is creating homes and jobs on underutilised brownfield sites, and generating the funding to upgrade its crumbling Victorian infrastructure.
