Pathways to Success at Franklin Academy
Dear Franklin Family,
At Franklin Academy, we are committed to providing our students with a variety of academic pathways that prepare them for college and beyond. We want to ensure that every family is informed about the incredible opportunities available to help students challenge themselves, earn college credit, and explore their passions.
Franklin Academies: Tailored Learning Experiences
Our Academies offer specialized tracks that allow students to dive deeper into their areas of interest. Whether it's the IB Academy, STEM, Business, Health Sciences, Arts Conservatory, or Environmental Academy, our Academies provide students with hands-on learning experiences and targeted coursework to prepare them for future careers.
Advanced Placement (AP) and IB Diploma Programme (DP) Courses
For students seeking rigorous academic challenges, we offer AP courses and the IB Diploma Programme (DP). These programs provide college-level coursework and the potential to earn college credit while in high school. The IB DP, in particular, is a globally recognized program that fosters critical thinking, research skills, and international-mindedness.
Dual Enrollment: Earning College Credit Now
Through our Dual Enrollment program, eligible students can take courses at University of Florida, Florida International University or Broward College while still in high school, allowing them to earn both high school and college credits simultaneously. This is a fantastic opportunity to get ahead academically while experiencing a college experience.
Early Admission: A Head Start on Higher Education
For students who are ready to transition to college early, Early Admission provides the chance to enroll full-time at a college or university during their senior year. This option accelerates their academic journey and immerses them in college coursework before officially graduating from high school.
We encourage all families to explore these opportunities and discuss with their students which path aligns best with their goals. If you have any questions or would like more information about any of these programs, please reach out to our academic advisors.
Together, we can help our students maximize their potential and take full advantage of the pathways available to them at Franklin Academy!
